Fashion Statement?!

Hey folks. Yea, you must be wondering, "Vinod?!!" Blogging so fast? Actually I am trying to improve myself in blogging at least once a weak if possible. Frankly it's not easy. My UTs have been coming up without stopping and my results have not been according to what I wanna. Sad, my daily grades are alright, it's just the UTs which can be a tough nut to crack.

Anyway as I was in the bus arriving from school, I was thinking about my what my classmate Jojo, have been rattling in the class today. "SAVE THE EARTH"! That dude even went to the extend of switching off the lights during breaks to prove his point! Though he used humor in displaying the above phrase, during the second break he was actually telling me with the serious tone and look that we as humans can play a small part in helping mother nature. " I don't see a reason why we need to use straws in our drinks. We can actually don't make straws." At the point of time it makes it seem Jojo has gone bonkers and from the way he speaks, it looks like our Jojo has metamorphasize into some environmentalist. But when you actually analyze what Jojo is trying to comprehend, it makes sense. Our planet Earth is actually dying. There are various topics if I wanna talk about it but I won't. I wanna you people to think about how you as a human can do a small part in helping out our planet Earth. Remember a small help from each person would result in a big and better outcome.

The thing I really wanna talk about it fashion statements. In fact, underwear fashion statements. Why I wanna talk about it? I tell you why.. My last weekend on a Sunday I was carrying out my part time job as a waiter. It was all going pretty well when I saw a bizzare but hilarious site by accident. Let me tell you it's by accident, so do not think Nod is some chee-ko-pai or needy pervert. I was bringing out food from the kitchen to a customer when there was another 27plus female customer on another table waiting for her food as well. It just so happen that her skirt, a mini one was showing some peek-a-boo action. What do you call it in Hokkien or is it Cantonese, erm.. "Chao kang"? Yea, that's the word though I'm not exactly sure which Chinese dialect group it is from. I didn't wanna see it but she was sitting in an inappropriate unsightly manner where preventing from looking at it is inevitable. The way some women sit! Sigh!~ But that's not the hilarious part. Her underwear was actually poke-a-dot panties! Holly GOD! What women in the world would wanna wear a poke-a-dot panties!? It's like the stripes on the dalmatian dog! If can I remember, the last I saw, that kind of underwear was on my little kid cousin. I already found SpongeBob boxers and Popeye the sailorman briefs hilarious but that woman's knickers beat hands down and at her age is even more funnier!

Can you imagine a woman who wear this panties on the night she is gonna consummate with her new hubby. What shocked the husband's gonna receive! There he is lying on the bed waiting for her all eager to arrive in her sexy clothes and once she starts coming out in those underwear, he's gonna receive a violent blow, he would never recover for sometime. I mean he won't go like "Woah baby! That's a super sexy underwear and it's turning me on already." Holly Crap! Is that the new fashion statement? God, if that is, please do tell me the person who came out with this design and I'll beat the shit out of him! I don't care how big of a brand it is but poke-a-dot panties is a No!No! I mean can you even think about it of being sexy?!

Ladies I don't even care what you guys are gonna wear but please! Please for God's Sake, refrain yourself from wearing those stuff because it's not only gonna bruise your ego if you happen to ahem accidentally show but that is definitely not womanly nor phat.

What happens when all guys congregate and work together?

Hey people. Today was the most awesome group I ever had. It was an all guys team. NO! NO! I'm not being prejudice to the women in my class.. Wait! Before you throw your slippers at me, check out the videos of what we guys did today. It was so fun working with the dudes and we ended up taking the videos so many times because we kept forgetting our lines and we laughed like there is no tomorrow. Bloody hillarious, especially Dominc and Jojo who can not only act out well but make a joke out of it. Even the serious Chris, was laughing until his face turned red!

I personally feel this is how an assignment should be done. Having fun and also learning out of it. That is some sort of deal eh? Why don't you people out there try it? Instead of the boring powerpoints with too many slides, do a video if appropriate. Let me tell you will definitely love it and you will tend to understand the lesson more and catch the class attention easier when presenting.

Are guys that shallow?

Hey friends out there. I know, I know, you are hurling vulgar words at me for not updating my blog for a freaking long time. Even my pal domnic was telling me, "hey dude, you should update your blog on daily basis, if not at least once a week." I agree with domnic in away but I fail to agree with him claiming that a blog is an online journal. I feel a journal is a very personal thing where you put all your secrets and whatever things or feelings on the little valuable book. Why have a journal when you are not letting anyone read it? Come on people, don't bull me in telling me you don't have any single secret you won't wanna anyone to know except yourself? Frankly speaking, I don't know how these people can find time to update their blog because I seriously hadn't had the time or should I say I haven't find the time? :)

I was lying down on my bed yesterday and thinking about this. Are guys really that shallow? I mean I'll be the first to defend my gender, (of-course it gotta be genuine) and argue my point with any girl mostly the bra-burning feminist who claims "Guys!? Typical of them." Like one of my female friends who claim, "All guys, they just think with their dicks!" Outrageous statement! So i snapped back with this reply," How many guys do you know in Singapore? Say 1/2 of the guy population in Singapore? And this jerks whom you claim think with their dicks, don't you think they are smart enough to get into your pants?! So who actually thinks? You or the jerks?" I am not here to support the jerks who makes real men lose their image to girls but just because some scumbags do shit stuff like that how is it fair in saying all guys are the same? But recently, I have been really dissecting this issue. What triggered my reaction? Let me give you an example.

I was out with my friends, Han Sen and Agnes finally. Both are good looking people so it's not tough in letting me catch guys and girls scrutinizing on my friends. We were at Coffee Bean in Takashimaya. I was buying the drinks for my pals when the incident happen. When I came back with the drinks, Han Sen was giving me the cheeky grin and Agnes was on the phone with someone with a disappointed plus pissed look mixed on her face. My intuition told me something actually happen when Han Sen went, "Bro, do you know what happen?" At the same time, Agnes ended her call. "Shawn likes her man!" Hansen claimed with the same cheeky grin on his face. I was like"What!?" "Shawn just messaged her and said he likes her and ask her to be his girl!" Now it is my turn to grin but I ended up laughing. Agnes hit me on my arm and said, "It's not funny ok!" I ended up laughing more. I knew it was coming for her. That fucking hypocrite actually claim both of us are a pair when he himself secretly liking her and can you imagine confessing to a girl and asking her to be his girl through message?! Which dude does that? At the least he could have confronted her directly and told her. All of us, Han Sen, Shawn, Agnes and myself work at Happy Daze, a family bar. Agnes and Shawn were close friends but I always knew Shawn had a thing for her but just kept quiet about it. Agnes is one of the few females where many guys like hanging out because she has no airs, laid back and can take a joke where many girls will get sensitive. The problem is her friendliness can be taken mistakenly by many guys. Actually guys around 17 to 20 are the ones committing the error. When Agnes and I were heading back home in the train, Agnes told me "There is no such thing as a male best friend Vinod. All the guys whom I think would be my best friend ended up liking me." I still can't forget the disappointed and sad look on her face. I was speechless for a moment and that was one of the few times I cannot fight for my gender. Agnes really had the close friendship with Shawn but it turned the other way round. I told her, maybe her male best friend has yet to arrive. And since her male friends are mostly young, what can you expect from these dudes? I am one of those guys who ended up liking my close female friend though I didn't confess when I was in secondary school. Yea, I admit, I was like a typical guy but I got so ashamed with myself one day when I returned home. I mean she's giving me her friendship and I secretly liking her? No wonder many folks are primitive in thinking men should not have close friendship with women. I made a vow that day that I will never betray a friendship with a woman no matter how hot or gorgeous she is. Besides, having a hot female friend is cool. :)

Now the ultimate question is this? Are guys really this shallow? I mean a girl giving her friendship and we thinking otherwise. Why do we guys not think this way when a guy is giving us friendship? Oh we can't right or we'll be considered as homosexuals? Can't a girl not give close friendship? Why does our thinking differ when a girl gives great friendship? The only thing which differs is her anatomy right? I want you people to give me your opinions in this matter. Please do share.

My opinion is, it does not actually happens with guys who are of adult age, say around 21 and above because I feel we guys are mature in thinking. I am not being prejudice here but most of the time these actually happens with the young dudes. I am not saying a girl having close friendship with a guy can't fall with him or him falling with her but what I am trying to comprehend is for that to happen both sides must agree. It takes two hands to clap and if that's the case it's alright. I am all for it but what if the girl only really gives her true friendship and nothing else. What if she feels if whatever happens, you are the first to know because you are her close friend? And how do we guys take the message? Do we take as, "I think she likes me. I can feel a chemistry." or "I am glad I do have a close friend as in a girl." How are we gonna take it guys? Are we still gonna think in a gross typical shallow way?

Personally I feel having female friends is awesome because I, as a guy know how a dude exactly or more or less thinks but it's different in a way a female thinks and finding a close female friend isn't easy. It's rare. How many females out there are actually the types we guys actually wanna befriend? I mean as a close friendship? Not many. So guys, don't waste your chances or spoil you great friendship with a woman when you think a girl is actually falling for you when she actually loves your friendship. You are not only hurting the friendship but also make the woman ask herself, "Are guys these shallow"?

Feroz

Mr White teeth! Always smiling around showing the superb white teeth of his. I reckon he can cast for Colgate Advertisement(hey, true man!) because his whole mouth opens up when he smile. Always giving dry jokes and using humour to spice up his presentation in class. The dude has his mysterious side in him when he can be real quiet if he wanna be(wonder what goes in his mind at times) but when he wants to be noisy, he's real delirious. A good friend and can be rather direct if he gets annoyed over something. His favourite phrase is "I've turn over a new leaf" but it seems it never happen. Guys, do you know he plays for a Singapore club? and I heard skate boarding is his forte.

Fazlan a.k.a Ah Seng

Mr ah seng!( as what sexy mole calls him) He is one of the funny dudes in class. I guess he's oblivious to it but Emily feels he's real funny. An easy and cool person and surprise, surprise.. hehe.. He is a good team member. He gives many views and search out for information in websites. The thing which he is lacking is the ability to speak up more. He makes pizzas for a part time job and guys let's hope he'll bring pizzas for us during our BBQ eh?

Gorden

A real quite person in class. When he speaks up, I don't mean to be bad but most of it doesn't make sense at all. I am not sure why he is doing that, maybe to get self-recognition? I advised him to speak up more and socialize but he is digging into his own grave by giving bizzare remarks which can be rather childish. Plus, he have to really dissect when he indulges in sensitive topics like knowing when to say the right things. Yes, we are all modernized and have a open-minded thinking but what makes you think you can go around be sarcastic and giving sneering remarks when talking about sensitive issues? I am not suggesting you should not do it as it's good to clear your doubts but there is a nicer way in approaching every matter and prevent conflicts from happening in future. Note this people, he can give real good views and he's a pro in lion dancing and basketball. And dude, please do eat and drink before going for training.

Zi Jie

He is called the stoner.(Hey! He calls that himself!) I ain't sure why this nickname came about but as some of the classmates are saying he doesn't get involve in team discussion. I disagree. He actually did and gave various perceptions and views when I teamed up with him during the 'microwave' lesson so stone isn't the appropriate nickname. I suggest softy as he is very soft during presentation. Maybe it's nerves, but you should speak up more pal.

Benjamin

Why does your name ring a bell in me to tease someone I know? Haha, but hey it's not you man. Chill. This dude, is very good in designing when he comes to the slides. I reckon he is good in computer stuff and he and Zi Jie have good taste in songs. I do not know much about him but Syler is on his way to find out.

Yew Yang

Another hillarious guy whose laughter can make people laugh easily. I suppose you can make humour out of laughter eh? When he watched Borat, his laughter boomed the class. I don't know why but he don't get involved much in the team discussion. He is actually good in giving views but I am not sure what is preventing him from giving more than views. He has also a mystery side in him which he doesn't share with everyone and so far only emily know more in dept about him.

Jun Ming a.k.a Tongue Piercer

Do you know what they say about tongue piercing pal? It's a sexual thing but I ain't going more in detail. Haha. I wonder if he did it for that.. Hmm.. (Seriously dude, how do you consume food with a piercing in your tongue?) This pal has a amazing capability in thinking in more than one ways and he is rather good in comprehending his comments. (You should team up with him during enterprise then you people know) He is also a great helper to anyone who approach him for help and he always gets nagged from emily.( I am not sure why) Do you know he actually smokes? (Sorry pal, I tried into not revealing but I cannot help myself)

John Paul a.k.a Donkey's D**k, Calvin

He has many different nicknames but those two above are the famous ones. I don't know why but the class girls love to play 'dressing up' on him.(Of course, I meant the hair!) A natural pest and he does it with elegance with natural flair in it. Maybe he should take a diploma in it. He's also a very good team mate only when he is prompted and I always do that on him. He's always yakking he wants to go to ITE. He is close to the class but during breaks he never follows us. Maybe he still don't trust us? From what domnic claims, he is awesome in soccer. Dude, forget about the fags and cigars. You should seriously think about trying Donkey's D**k. Hehe.. Do you know the recent piercing he did on his lower lip was done by himself?

Zhou Ji a.k.a Dude

Hey dude! He always use that to me in class when he sees me in the morning and it's funny because earlier when I use that on him, he asked me what it means because he actually did a research on it and in his dictionary(which i reckon is the chinese-english translated) dude actually meant playboy! No wonder he asked me for the meaning. He is cute in his actions and my chinese pal is trying really hard to catch on the assignments and culture in Singapore. He is good in math and science but because of the language barrier he is facing problems in comprehending the associated topics. One of the few guys who look good in glasses as he looks like a professor in it.

Ma Chi

Do you know if i did join up your name it actually means friend in Tamil? But of course, it's in slang. He's doing really well in RP, my other Chinese pal. He has an American slang when speaking English and he is also good in math and science related topics where comprehending them is his forte. One of his weakness is when he gets impatient when someone argues with his point he feels is absolutely right and interrupts someone when they saying out their views. You should let people complete their views Ma Chi, before giving out your own.

Domnic

The most hillarious Indian guy I ever came across and he does it with ease. Scary eh? He has this tendency to bring out his humour mostly on emily where he teases her like mad and he claims he wanna marry her(now waiting for her mother's approval) and ahem produce brown babies. Haha. He's freaking smart. This dude knows many various stuff where most of us would not give a rat's ass in knowing. Do you know Dom has inferiority complex? Upon 10, I would give a 7. Surprising eh? But it's true. Till today, Dom, I feel the girl who rejected you will regret her decision in future. She's freaking shallow and Vivien feels you are good looking man. One of the few dudes, who look good in glasses.

Chris

He has the typical dude next door look and he's a very soft spoken man. Don't judge him because of his calmness because he's a silent killer. He's very smart in science and math related topics as well. He can actually crack his brain and come up with a solution. Like for example, visual basics. Till today I am not sure how he came out with the commands and use them appropriately. Do you know he actually tried out for NTU and Singapore Poly and Ngee Ann Poly actually accepted him? Wondering what he is doing in RP? Well, he actually paid for the fees even before SP and NAP accepted him so treasure him well. Well are you going to fight with domnic with the total marriage thing over emily? Who's gonna get her? I am excited to know.

Johansson a.k.a Jojo

A very laid back, no airs, patient person. He has this incredible gift of studying an assignment well before coming out with a solution at a very late stage. Like Chris, he's a silent killer but in his case, too silent. He has this friendly vibe where he can built a rapport with anyone with the shortest possible of time. Though we only get to know him later because of his chicken pox, he got to know the classmates really fast. You can approach him at anytime for help and one thing I like about this dude is, he is not afraid to speak up his own views even at the expense of him being wrong. Now Jojo, can you please tell me what's up with your 'new bag'? Haha, I have the feeling that you will carry a barney's bag next. Jojo has his own negative flashbacks which I feel he is trying to put it aside and move on. Do you know, he actually kind of shut me up in the debate during Mr Sim's lesson? He hit me back with my own views where actually I went speechless for a moment.

To all the amigos and amigas out there, first of all I apologize for not updating my blog for a freaking long time but school can be rather hectic and not to mention my work. Secondly, your man, Syler, is back! And this time, it's going to be even better.

Poly life is awesome. Didn't expect it to be but yea it is. Made lots of pals and my class is, how do u put it, HAPPENING! Lots of interesting colourful characters who never made a day in poly, a monotonous one. It's like you can always learn from someone, something, someday. Flummoxing eh? But my class is like that. It's only been four weeks and damn, did I learn massively and not to mention we are gelling together. Wait, that's an understatement. We are already stuck together like old pals. Remember it's not how long you know a person, it's how much you know them. True, I can't say I know every single one very well inside out but I am learning something from these intriguing people everyday. I have already switched on my 'reading eyes' my friends, so be careful. Syler is on the hunt and he's very good in watching and reading people though he make it seem he is not. Anyway, you guys have seen the domnic's version of classmates perceptions. Now you are gonna see my version and for those of you reading this, keep an open mind and if you have to use coarse languages on me, please do but not in front of me. Remember I am not practically hitting or holding anyone's balls because that's not my style. No bad blood.

Shuwen

The most photogenic lady in class. She has this cute laughter and smile and always seem to be in the happy-go-lucky mood. It can be positive and negative but sometimes she switch it on when we are in a discussion for an assignment and I have to prompt her to start work or she'll realize it at a very later stage. For those of you who don't know much about her, shuwen is outspoken. She is not shy when doing a presentation and tend to voice out her opinions and perceptions but she gotta watch herself because once she starts thinking, she'll go "ermm.." It doesn't mean she is not assertive but I reckon it's like a natural flair for her. It's like a car's ignition. For a car to work, you need to put your keys in the ignition and the engine makes a loud sound before the car starts. That's how shuwen is. The "ermm.." sound is the engine before her brain starts to get her ideas again. I do love working with her but shuwen, you gotta watch the "ermm.." sound and try not to produce to much of it.

Lufei

My female friend from China. Very good in Math and Science related topics but the only barrier is the language which she is facing problems. Hey, today she actually pronounced my name right! I can see she is trying hard to understand the lesson and contribute to the team. She is not a sociable person in class and most of the time I see her with her friend who happens to come to our class during breaks. She is also afraid to speak up but I reckon this may come better with practice.

Zaneta

She is one of the few girls who look great in glasses. She's a very good team member where she contributes alot but like what domnic said, she can be off-focus at times. I can't write much about her because I don't know much about her but don't worry Zan, Syler always gets his men and his 'reading eyes' will be on the hunt soon. Hehe..

Shaleen a.k.a. Beatboxer

For some reason, this chick likes to beatbox and I don't know how it starts but it suits her personality. When she beatbox, it looks like some baby sucking on to the milk bottle because she's so small but hey not petite. Hehe! Shalene is like an enigma. She has alot of secrets behind her sleeves where she does not share maybe except for domnic, but keep it inside her. I can see behind all that hillarious things she does in class, she's hiding something. A very hardworking personality where she goes around class asking how the assignment is done when she doesn't understand.

Jannah a.k.a. Sashay Queen

The best dresser in class. She has easily the best dressing sense where she mixes and matches her clothes well. I reckon she wakes up two hours earlier to get dressed! I remember asking her where she buy her clothes but she claim it's a secret. For a young age, if she can dress rather stylishly, can u imagine how much better she can dress when she grows up? Did I mention she can sashay as well? Domnic and I would be teasing her when she walks but she can really sashay! Not exactly but somehow. Jannah can be rather direct at times and can be oblivious when she is mean to someone. Watch what you say Jannah. By the way, ever thought about joining Victoria's Secret? She claims Adriana Lima is her sis..

Jie Ying a.k.a. Jessie

A typical girl next door. A sweet girl who is willing to learn something out of nothing but what is lacking is the confidence. She tend to get nervous when she presents, especially when a question is popped back at her. It's not that she don't understand the lesson but I guess she is afraid whatever she presents maybe wrong. It's alright to make errors pal. That is how everyone learn. Have you seen her old pic? She looks very good in long hair! I wonder why she cuts it but she claim it's for a change. She should not have trim it and now I am her personal ahem advisor in terms of her hairstyle. Can you imagine me already without hair giving her hair tips? Don't be afraid to speak up Jessie even though your ideas maybe wrong. Be optimistic. That's how you will learn. Did I mention she love her lollis? And I wonder why it's always orange flavour.

Suling a.k.a Sue

My dear Sue. A very hardworking person. Never giving up until she at least understand the problem. The scary part in her is when she goes into the thinking process when she don't understand something. She can get rather moody and her face becomes so stressed! She's been in a row recently( we all know what happen) and she's moving on. Remember life is prejudice and once you start understanding the fact you tend to see things correctly. Oh yea, she looks good in hip-hop style and I wonder why her friends say she ain't. She loves to shake her booty and I suppose that's how she manage to get in the IG.

Farah

The wife of Mr Borat. Introducing Mrs Borat. A very petite lady and a crazy monkey. She can get rather mad where she go around hitting or punching people. She can be very jovial and delirious when she want to be but she also has her secrets. She can be quiet for one moment and noisy the next. She, like Sue, is moving on but sometimes familiar spots bring out old memories eh farah? Remember there are many other fish in the ocean. Make sure this time you catch many fish and choose one which is right for you. She also can be lazy and sleep in class at times. I reckon it's her work at night which make her not be fresh in class. She can give valuable views but like Jessie, can be coy in speaking up.

Vivien a.k.a V.B

She is a very strong woman. Face it, she can intimidate guys. Guys can go around saying she's annoying, direct and mean but deep inside they know they cannot shit around with this chick. People tend to see the outer side of her and make judgments but have you guys actually really get to know her? She is actually shy in alot of ways and have very low esteem. YES! It's true. Her strength is no matter how much she's not involved in a certain lesson she can still cover up with her talk though at times it can be crap. A very typical girl where things I like about her is her directness, being spontaneous and being open-minded. She's oblivious about her looks and she can dress well at times. By the way have you seen her in Secondary school? Go see the pic, it's hillarious. She has this sharp piercing voice where it can be rather painful to someone's ears and her directness is not always a good thing. Sometimes it hurt people and I have seen it on my own eyes but she is oblivious to it. Do watch what you speak Vivi.

Emily a.k.a Emi

One of the most popular girl is class where she'll start her day by "HELLO EVERYBODY". A very cheerful, laid back, no airs personality where she can take every comment with a smile and always giggling around with the cute laughter. She claims she has the laughing disease. She's always nagging at jun ming like a mother( but hey, that's her son) and ahem domnic is fighting with Chris in having total marriage with her.(Have they seen your mother yet?) She's also analyze things before she makes the green light and give valuable advices. She has a whimsical personality and also have very low esteem. A very modest person who is oblivious to her popularity. She told me she wanna lie low now but I advise her not to and be herself where people love her for who she is. There's something about aeries people eh Emi? And damn, is her mole sexy..:)
